Do I need to pay the taxes/duties for my package?

Any extra fees, and taxes for getting the product to you are your responsibility. We are unable to calculate what these could be, or if there will be any, unfortunately. Please keep this in mind while ordering! It is also important to note that if you are unable to pay the duties, the shipping company/mail service may end up destroying/discarding the package.

Another important note is once the package has been shipped, it is no longer in our hands. We do not offer any refunds once shipped, unless it was a faulty packaging issue. We keep track of the shipping with the company we work with, and can see if any issues occur, or when it has been successfully delivered. So please be aware of this when placing your order!

We are unable to calculate the cost of the taxes/duties if there even will be any.

Can I change my address later on?

Yes! You can change your address as many times as needed when the survey is still open. We will make updates before we close, plus if you need another address change after the survey is closed you can reach out to us and we will help fix that for you.

If you have questions regarding technical support; such as payment processes, address issues, or anything else you can think of - don’t hesitate to reach out to Backerkit! They are our support team and handle all of that stuff. Of course, we are always here to help, though they might be better with the more technical side!

Is shipping free? �

Shipping is NOT free for this project. Please reference our Shipping chart guide to see what the cost will be.

Please be informed as well if you are not based in the USA, any taxes/fees/duties will be your reasonability, please take this into account when purchasing.

How does Backerkit work? �

Backerkit is a survey maker that allows us to make a customizable survey for our Kickstarter. Once the Kickstarter campaign ends, you will receive an email to your inbox giving you a link to the custom survey we made. On this survey you will be able to select the product you want, add on extra Hoodies or other goodies. Plus, you pay for your shipping costs + any other costs for items you may have added. (If you have added nothing extra on the survey, you will only be charged your shipping cost with this survey.)

Why are we using Backerkit? �

Backerkit has made fulfilling Kickstarter pledges a breeze, as it keeps all information in one easy userbase on our end. Which allows to keep tracking of your order much easier and aid you if an issue would arise.

Plus, Backerkit Surveys allows you to edit and manage your order a great deal easier! Plus if you would like to add on another product you can!

How does Kickstarter work? �

Kickstarter is a “pledge now and pay later system” which means you will ONLY be charged at the end of the project if the base goal is successfully funded. Consequently, if the base goal is not funded, your pledge will NOT be charged at all and the project will be cancelled!

You can always change your mind and adjust/ cancel your pledge during the duration while the campaign is still active! You will be charged for the amount you pledge and the shipping after the campaign wraps up.

How can I add more products to my current pledge? �

When our project is live, you can adjust your pledge by visiting our Kickstarter Page and click the “Mange your Pledge” button. On the next page that pops up, click “Change your Pledge” and you can manage your pledge there!

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
